One can improve amongst others appearance, adhesion, wetability, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, scratch resistance, etc.. They may be applied as liquids, gases or solids. Can painters blue tape block Epoxy floor coating from getting through?
Q. I am planning on painting my garage floor with a two-step epoxy garage paint/coating, thats the one with the decorative chips. However, as if I was using regular paint, I want to tape off and block areas that I do not want painted. Will regular painters blue tape repel the Epoxy paint/coating just like it would regular paint.? I know that the Epoxy paint/coating is thicker and stronger than regular paint and wondering if it will actually leak through the painters tape. Thanks for the advice!

A. It will not leak through the tape, however..epoxy is a very hard product when cured..You may have trouble getting the tape off if you allow the epoxy to dry on it..just make sure as you paint an area with the tape on it..to remove that section of tape right after you paint it and do not allow it to dry...

What can I add to melting chocolate to make it a harder coating?
Q. Store-bought chocolate coated cookies don't melt in your hand easily, but when I tried melting chocolate for that purchase, they are not dry and hard enough. Or is that 'fudge' coating they use?

A. Most stores use chocolate called "coating chocolate". All you do is melt it and use for finishing or dipping cookies, etc., and it hardens as it dries. The chocolate you bought I assume is "regular" chocolate, if so then you should "temper" the chocolate. Then use it as desired. To temper chocolate do a search on the internet & read up on it.

What is the difference between garage floor coating and high grade oil based paint.?
Q. I have used oil based garage floor coating and it looks and smells the same as oil based house paint. I am not convinced that it is not a gimmick to get people to pay 2 to 3 time the money for "floor coating". What the deal, do you know?
