What is that brown stuff coated around the toilet bowl?
Q. I know someone that has brown stuff coated around there toilet bowl but I don't know what it is? Is is rust or what? Please no joking answers I really want to know.

A. Anything around the toilet bowl is an accumulation of something, how's that for vague??? Let's start with hard water, calcium, lime build up, the most common culprit. It's just a bunch of little crystals that like to hang together, vinegar may work in small quantities, but for a stubborn stain you need phosphoric acid or Milk Stone solvent, cheap to purchase at the Co Op and will beat CLR hands down anyday. The other buildup is from the guys, sorry men, but you all need to learn to sit down...again cleaning daily will work. To get it clean it may need a little scrubbing, keeping it that way is a cynch. Daily, and I do mean daily just wipe it down with a good cleaner, something like the Norwex Enviro cloth. It has a good quality… [cont.]
